Writing, for me, can be compared to the process of designing a cake. I am comfortable in my ability to design and create cakes from start to finish, but if I slack off at any point in the process, it is very evident. If I lose motivation to write well, it really hurts my whole entire piece, just as if I lose motivation to ice the cake correctly, my mistakes will show. Furthermore, like the cake process, the writing process has structure but also allows for creativity.
The most important aspect of the writing process is the finished product and making sure that it is easy to read and comprehend. Similarly, the success of the cake baking process is contingent upon the final product and how it looks aesthetically.
I enjoy both writing and baking cakes but I know that I have quite a bit to learn!
